These are fresh, unrooted cuttings taken from my own plants. You are receiving pieces of living plants that you’ll propagate yourself.

You’ll receive instructions to help you get your cuttings started, along with information about caring for them as they establish themselves.

A plant identification guide

Once you open your bundle, you’ll be able to discover exactly which plants you’ve received.

Botanical information

Each plant will come with information about its characteristics, growth habits, and care.

You’ll also receive information about the magical qualities and associations connected to each plant so you can explore how it might fit into your own practice.

Your guide will include ideas for incorporating the living plant into your home and magical practice, particularly as a botanical ward.

You’re starting with a cutting and growing the plant yourself.

As you propagate, care for, and learn your plants, you’re also building a relationship with them. You learn their habits, notice their growth, figure out what they need, and become familiar with the living thing you’ve brought into your home.

That relationship becomes part of the magic.

Over time, the little cutting you started with becomes a plant you’ve personally nurtured and come to know giving you a much more personal foundation for working with it as a living ward.

You grow the plant. You build the relationship. You create the ward.

These are NOT rooted plants.

Your bundle contains freshly cut, unrooted houseplant clippings.

They will not arrive as established potted plants, some might look thirsty upon arrival as it is the summer time but for the most part they will bounce back. Each cutting will be wrapped in sphagnum moss to insure they do not dry out during shipping. 

Your job is to take those little pieces of plant life and give them the conditions they need to develop roots and continue growing.

Different plants can behave differently during propagation. Some may root quickly. Others may take more patience. Some may show obvious changes before they develop an established root system.

Your included instructions will help you get started, but propagation is a living process and results can vary.
